Food vs Cellulite
What causes cellulite? Mostly toxins, from bad food. These toxins take away the elastic quality of the skin and they can decrease the speed of blood circulation. Fruits and vegetables (the colorful kind) are your best bets. They have a lot of antioxidant properties that aid in expelling toxins from our body.
Examples of good fruits come from the berry group. A strawberry, raspberry, blueberry or blackberry. Mix a set of any of these fruits with your morning cereals.
Banana and mango are also considered great for improving blood flow. Improved blood flow combats the onset of cellulite. Try to constantly include a banana or a mango in your meals. Papayas are also good because they help delay the aging process by preventing tissue from being damaged beneath the skin.
Vitamin-C-loaded food are great in the battle against cellulite. Vitamin C helps enhance collagen in the skin. This gives back the elastic quality of the skin and well as its firmness and tautness.
Oily fish, poultry, grapefruit, tomato, carrot and avocado are all examples of food that makes skin more durable.
Food under the category of diuretics are good at fighting cellulite. They cause a person to urinate more than normal. This takes care of bloatedness that one might feel as well as the body’s penchant to retain fluid. Too much fluid in the body can cause cellulite. In addition to consuming a lot of water, be sure to take in diuretics as well. Cucumber, celery and asparagus can be very helpful.
A lot of big names in Hollywood recommend a plate of asparagus for decreased bloatedness. They do the same thing before walking the red carpet.
Food to stay away from
If you are over your recommended weight, it doesn’t necessarily mean you will get cellulite. A lot of people who are over their recommended weight are not affected by cellulite and a lot of people who are at their or below their weight limit are. Too much fat however, on the hips, butt and upper legs makes cellulite look uglier. This means you should try to stay within your weight range and refrain from consuming too much food with a lot of fat.
Food with a lot of fat, especially those that have undergone a lot of processing like sausage, cheeses, biscuit and cake are certainly not good for your skin. They have a lot of salts and sugars that can lead to the rise of the levels of toxins in our bodies.
The healthy kind of fat however, is another great tool in the war against cellulite. Salmons, mackerels and other fatty fishes are highly recommended, because they have fatty acids which aid in the metabolism of fat. It has been observed that when one loses fat, one also loses cellulite.
The nut family is another excellent source of fatty acids and fibers. Food with a lot of fiber aids the body in digestion and in expelling waste materials with efficiency.
Some researchers discovered that caffeine worsens cellulite growth due to how it affects the flowing of blood and the acquisition of oxygen and important nutrients for the skin. As much as possible, stay away from coffees, teas and colas. Two cups daily should be the maximum amount.
Also try not to smoke or consume alcoholic beverages because they boost the creation of toxins in our physiques, and alcoholic drinks are full of sugar. And in line with that, stay away from sugar. It delays the body in producing collagen. Staying away from sugar means you’ll be delaying the onset of wrinkling and cellulite growth.
Also stay clear of cereals, pasta sauce and yoghurts.
